CORENA establishes partnership with Forum ILS

13 December 2010

CORENA and Forum ILS have established a partnership that allows our customers to take advantage of the technologies and wide experience of the two companies.

Forum ILS software delivers advanced tools that gives the industrial companies the ability to develop more integrated and cost effective products and services. This is achieved by making the information process and handling, related to product configuration, technical services, supportability, ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) and R&M (Reliability & Maintainability), much more integrated and efficient. The software is a database application called SICS (System for Integrated Customer Support).

As a result of the partnership CORENA will manage the SICS generated content in its Corena S1000D CSDB. SICS handles product configuration variants from the PDM system and supports the analysis process for defining applicable service tasks and all related service resources such as spares, skill & manpower, and support equipment. SICS is the managerial tool and the technical sources and base for the production of technical documentation – manuals, parts catalogue, training and eLearning materials.

The benefits of the partnership for our customers are:

  • compliance to PLM/PLCS standard initiatives – S1000D, S2000M
  • complete control and a more efficient handling of product configuration
  • management information for the entire products’ life cycle - from early development phase to upgrade
  • an integrated process and common source for all service resources and a shortened publication cycle for all technical documentation

Joint customers are already using and gaining the benefits of the combined solution of CORENA and Forum ILS software. A number of customers also show great interest in using our combined offerings for a more integrated and efficient handling of information related to ILS and technical documentation.
