CORENA S1000D is our solution to create, manage and distribute information based on the S1000D specification. It is a fully integrated solution, supporting the entire technical documentation lifecycle, and providing versatile possibilities to integrate the technical information with product data and business processes.

So far this year we have delivered two releases of CORENA S1000D providing a number of new features enhancing productivity and ease of use.

  • Basic Web Client with support for viewing and editing unstructured data (Word, Excel, CAD drawing, etc.)
  • Support for Change Request (CR). Change Requests in CORENA S1000D holds information about i.e. a product change/modification that reflect changes in the Technical Documentation in the CSDB, and can be linked to DMs, ICNs and other CRs. The CRs are under revision control and is supported by a workflow that is configured in the CORENA FLOW module. The new Change Request module has a separate WebService for adding/updating CRs
  • CORENA S1000D has enabled a set of new WebServices API for integration of Change Requests and TIR (Technical Information Repository) with other systems like SAP by offering  interfaces for external applications to either retrieve or post objects to the CSDB. E.g. Add/update DM, query DMs, add/update ICN, callback API (call external WebServices on object creation/modification and workflow events).
  • Support for Multiple ICNs in IPDs (IPC module and separate layout)
  • IBM WebSphere Network Deployment support on Linux. We now provide support for Oracle WebLogic Server 10.3 and WebSphere 6.1 / 6.1 ND. Both Windows and Linux are supported OS for the Application Server. CORENA PAGE also supports the same Application Servers.
  • Synchronization with LDAP - Sun ONE
  • General performance tuning

We are currently working on the following features, which are planned to be released later this year:

  • Support publishing of issue 4.0 data (PM Content Editor and Delivery Suite)
  • TIR management and publishing (excluded incremental updates)
  • Hotspot authoring
  • Support for Web Client as viewing and authoring environment for S1000D DMs
  • A new IETP product based on the GWT framework in the Web Client
  • "Merge" of our CORENA iSpec2200 and S1000D solutions so that both solutions can be operated within the same application environment.
